Everything you need to write the tender — including the parts that do not favour us.
A specification that only one supplier can satisfy gets challenged, delayed or won at a bad price. These clauses describe what an adaptive installation must actually do, in terms any competent supplier can answer.
Five documents.
Sent as files you can edit, with a person attached in case a clause needs adapting to your procurement rules.
Technical clauses
Drop-in text for the adaptive part of a lighting tender: measured quantities, bounded reduction in classes, reaction time, fail-safe behaviour, weather suspension and traceability of every applied class.
Architecture diagrams
Node, sensors, gateway, cabinet controller and platform, with what decides what — the drawing that answers "and if the connection drops?" before it is asked.
Device datasheets
Luminaire nodes, cabinet controller, gateways and sensors, with interfaces, electrical data and mounting.
Declarations of conformity
CE, RED, EMC, RoHS and WEEE per product family; radio and safety test reports on request.
Sizing sheet
From stretches, classes and luminaire counts to the number of nodes, sensors and gateways — so the bill of quantities is not a guess.
Of your draft
Send us the clauses you have written and we will mark the ones that accidentally exclude everyone but one supplier — ourselves included. It is the most useful thing we do for a technical office, and it is free.
Because a clause without context is how tenders go wrong.
The same words mean different things on a motorway, on a residential network and inside a plant. We would rather spend ten minutes understanding which one you are writing than hand over a file that produces an unbuildable specification.
No newsletter, no drip campaign, no sales sequence. You get the files, and one engineer who read the request.
Six clauses, if you only take one thing.
Measured quantity · reduction bounded in classes · declared reaction time · return to the design class on failure · suspension in fog · every applied class stored with the measurement that justified it.
